How do you treat OCD?

ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) is the leading intervention for OCD. Therapists help clients practice confronting their anxieties instead of avoiding them through "exposures". Exposures allow the client's brain to lower its belief that the trigger is dangerous and needs to be avoided. These exposures are done carefully and with a plan from trained ERP therapists.
