Amber Beatty, LMHCA
Amber Beatty, located in Carmel, IN, specializes in working with children, teens, and adults with trauma
Meet Amber
I provide individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults to create a safe, nonjudgemental space where you can come as you are. I believe deep healing and insight happens when we feel emotionally supported and free to express our experiences without fear of shame or invalidation. While working with me, you can expect a safe and supportive environment, respect for your pace and boundaries, and collaboration in setting goals to shape your therapeutic journey.
My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I utilize various evidence-based practices to ensure that I am meeting the unique needs of each client that enters the door. These modalities include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Further, I find value in guiding clients through emotional dysregulation, stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and phase of life issues.
My passion for this work comes from a genuine desire to understand others and join clients in their journey of self-exploration, emotional regulation, and finding tools to create meaningful change in their lives. I believe that clients are ultimately the experts of their own lives – therapy is an opportunity to become empowered within oneself and their life.

My Approach
Choosing to begin therapy is a meaningful yet difficult step, and my goal is to offer a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I approach every session with compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for the strength and courage that it takes to explore your inner world and conflicts. I believe that the foundation of therapy is a strong, therapeutic relationship that requires trust and unconditional positive regard.
In addition, I hold the belief that therapy should be viewed as a collaborative, empowering process. I aim to offer curiosity, connection, and cultivation in every session to help clients connect with their inner strengths as they move towards greater understanding, resilience, self-compassion, and growth.
