Frequently Asked Questions
Your guide to common questions and concerns
-
How frequently will I see my therapist?
This will be determined by you and your therapist, based on your specific needs. Typically, weekly sessions are recommended for the first 4-6 sessions to understand the issues and establish a trusting relationship where work can be done most effectively.
-
What ages do you work with?
We work with a wide range of ages! The youngest we work with is 2 years old and there is no upper limit. Look on each therapist's profile to see their age range.
-
What can I expect from the first session?
The initial session is meant to establish a connection between counselor and client. Counselors also take this time to gain background information to understand each client’s unique circumstances and create a unique plan for them. If you have more questions, please go to the page of the service you are looking for. There is more information on what you can expect in the full treatment of that service there.
-
What is the cost of therapy?
Our standard session rate ranges from $150-175 for a 45-minute therapy session, depending on the therapist's experience level and type of client (child or adult).
We accept checks and all major credit cards as well as most major HSA debit cards.
-
Do you take insurance?
We do not accept insurance, but we can provide a "superbill" which you can submit to your insurance company to seek reimbursement.
We recommend that you call the number on the back of your card first and inquire about your "out-of-network" benefits to see if your insurance company will provide reimbursement for counseling services.
We do this, so we can best meet your needs and not be limited by insurance "red tape".
-
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
We offer a free 15- minute phone call to go over what you are looking for and we will provide you with a brief recommendation for treatment and the interventions we might use. This allows you to have confidence in the counselor you have chosen.
If you are not sure after a few sessions if your counselor is right for you, that's ok! Let us know and we will help you find a good fit for you.
-
Do you offer virtual sessions in Indiana?
Yes! As long as you are in the state of Indiana during our session, we can see you!
